Booking and payment
How do I reserve my cabin?
Tap Reserve my cabin on the journey you want. You authorize your card once on our secure form, and we take it from there. We confirm with you before we charge your deposit.
How much is the deposit, and when is the rest due?
On group rate journeys, the deposit is 20% of the cruise fare. Taxes and fees are paid with your balance. Final payment is due 120 days before sailing, and the exact date is on each journey page. On Priced by Virgin journeys, or when sailing is less than 120 days away, full payment is due at booking.
What does "Starting from" mean?
It is the price per person when two sailors share a cabin, with taxes and fees included. It is always the lowest price available for that journey. Virgin Voyages updates prices often, sometimes daily or weekly depending on demand, so the price can change.
Can I pay in installments?
If your sailing is less than 120 days away, we can arrange installments. Just let us know.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Cancellation depends on the cabin tier you book. Base fares usually cannot be cancelled, yet in many cases, if you cancel more than 120 days before sailing, you can receive a credit. We confirm the exact terms for your booking when you reserve, and all terms and conditions apply.
Sailing solo and roommate matching
Can I travel alone?
Yes. Many of our travelers do. You never have to sail alone, because the community starts before departure.
How does roommate matching work?
When you reserve, answer Yes to the roommate question on the form. We pair up travelers who are looking to share a cabin, and you split the cost of the cabin between you. When several people are looking, we think through the best way to make them compatible. If we cannot find a match, we talk through your options with you before moving forward.
Is roommate matching required?
No. It is for solo travelers who want to share a cabin instead of paying for a cabin on their own.
The community
What is a Community Journey?
A hosted trip built around connection. You travel with Go Travel Community, meet your fellow travelers before you leave, and arrive already knowing some of your people.
Do I need to bring friends?
No. Come solo, bring a partner, or bring your whole crew.
Who hosts the journeys?
Jeremy Cordero, Founder and Lightkeeper of Go Travel Community. He has more than two decades of hospitality experience, and his goal is that nobody feels like they are traveling alone.
Will we do things together on the trip?
Yes. We plan excursions together, yet nothing is mandatory. You are always free to enjoy the trip on your own.
The ship and the trip
Who operates the ships?
Virgin Voyages operates the ships. Go Travel Community hosts the community journeys as an authorized Virgin Voyages travel advisor and First Mate.
Are shore excursions included?
No. Shore excursions are booked separately with Virgin Voyages, and availability and pricing can change.
Is it adults only?
Yes. Virgin Voyages sailings are adults only.
What do I need to travel?
Bring a valid passport. If you are not a US citizen, check the visa requirements for the countries on your route.
